Forex Trading is a term given to foreign exchange trading that has started in the post war-era when America was at the peak of its power. At that time the mighty US dollar was in demand since there was a scarcity in dollars, and having more dollars meant you could buy more stateside goods. Today trading in foreign exchange has not really changed since those early days since the majority trades are done on the basis of the movements of four major currencies being the United States dollar, the Japanese yen, the English pound and the EU euro.
Basically the concept of forex trading is to buy when the exchange rate is low and sell it when the exchange rate is high that simple. For example you can buy 1 dollar for say 90 yen and then resell that dollar when the yen becomes higher (or weaker against the dollar) say for example 95 or 100 yen per dollar. Quite simple really but since nowadays most currencies are now more mobile due to the globalization of our planet you can be trading against and for several currencies and this can get quite complicated in the long run for the inexperience forex trading player.
A number of websites and website services offer the option to do some form of forex trading. You basically sign up on one of these sites, give your account details and then wait for instructions on what to do next. Some of the rules can be tricky and turn off the prospective trader so this kind of money making is not so popular as others but the rewards can be big.
Before making a commitment to trade foreign exchange sign up for a website that does forex trading and also gives tutorials or trial accounts so that you do not spend anything. These trial accounts give simulations done in real time and real data so you can basically gauge your skills as time goes on.
